my top 5 favourite craft projects of 2014

Hi This is my favourites of 2014 hope you like them too

this is a card i made for my daughters 16th birthday its an unusual choice of colours for me but orange is my daughters favourite. I always pick my backing paper first and then match the colours of pens from this i used my copic markers to colour the image and the papers to make the flowers using my cricut machine. I used the black matts to make the design and colours really pop and it adds to the oriental look.
This is some wall art i made on a seaside theme to match a young boys bedroom using my silhouette cameo
wedding card made using the silhouette cameo i have used it so much this year i really don't think i can craft without it anymore lol
i choose this as they proved very popular with my customers on this one i choose a crafters companion barkley cd i really love this cute character
this was something a bit different for me i used original pages from a harry potter book and drew free hand the design then zentangled a design onto it. Its a true one off i made it for my son and his girlfriend for there new home as he is a massive harry potter fan. I have had a great year and have really enjoyed my crafting all i need now is to make it my full time job (i wish) maybe one day. i hope you will continue to visit my blog and if you would follow it too well that would be great. health and happiness to you all xx

new baby card

Hi just thought i would show you the 8 ins square card i made for the arrival of my first grandchild. I used the silhouette cameo and a digital cutting file to cut the baby and the heart out of a baby 12 x12 pad of paper. The little tags and the letters at the top right hand side of the card also came from the same pads.  My grandsons name is Taylor jacob which is why its TJ on the card.I  used a few gems and some flourishes cut by the cameo to brighten it up and bring the designs together and the little piece of paper sticking out the side of the matt with hearts on it was used to tie in with the heart matt that the baby topper is sat on. hope you like it if youd like to see more of my designs dont forget to follow my blog happy new year everyone  xxxx

the great craft shed .... the end (well almost)

Just popped this pic on so you can see the completed fire place a bit better its been inclosed so i have a display/storage shelf above the fire
during the autumn we used the shed to put are bbq stuff while we cooked as you can see our garden is quiet long so running up and down getting stuff was a pain so much easier with the shed. Also as you can see we have used it in the snow this week we fired up the log burner and watched the dogs playing in the snow. The idea of the shed started off as a summer house as i am rubbish at sitting in the sun but wanted to be in the garden. We then thought about it having a multi purpose summer house/craft area and ended up being an all year craft space and i love it. When the weather warms up i am having a veranda put on the front and fencing and a gate to the side so watch this space xx

p.s we called her scattycrafts den after asking ppl on facebook my old nickname from a previous job was scatty as i forgot everything so always worked from a list infact some things just dont change lol

ta dar..... craft shed interior is completed

this is my main desk area the units to house my really useful boxes were custom made the pots under the window are from ikea i re used my exsisting ikea glass top desk and added bits of worktop on each side to extend the workspace.
This is the other part of my workspace i fitted some cushion flooring to finish off the floor hung some curtains to the patio door and hay presto i have an extension for the wifi so i even have internet up there. The only problem is i cant keep the rest of the family out lol one more shed post then i promise to stop going on about it xx

inside the craft shed so far...

Walls are painted and electrics are in place even fitted a loft space in for storage and insulated the space . We put a floresant daylight tube in so its as near to natural daylight as possible.
we fitted shed with a recycled gas bottle log burner making sure we used fire proof tiles round the fire i painted floor with black damp proof membrane to keep out the wet.
Shelving going into place along with a worktop more to follow......

craft shed completed yay

Just realised i didnt post the finished shed. Here she is after a coat of blue paint although still no roof  the walls are insulated the decking is also on the front of the shed.
Here she is with a roof the outside is almost complete and as she was watertight we moved onto the inside. I will show you the pics for the inside on my next blog post complete with log burner xx

Got out of the habit

Hi   Hope you are all well and had a good Christmas.   I have been absent for some time the combination of new craft workshop new grandson and the largest amount of Christmas orders i have ever done.  One of my many news years resolutions is to blog at least twice monthly and if i fail i shall place myself on the naughty step and give myself a good telling off lol. This is the Christmas advent calendar box that i made for an order. As you can see i used crafters companion barkley cd rom. I love the images on this cd and find crafters companion cds really easy to use. I managed to rope my 12 year old daughter in to help with the construction of them all we sat in front of the TV sticking and gluing . Hope you all have a very happy new year xx.

Hi all hoping your all well and getting organised for Christmas. I haven't started hardly yet lol my first grandson is due any minute so i refuse to prepare for the c word until he arrives safely.  I work part time in a boring job and like to do craft in my spare time but have had a few orders coming lately. After visiting a local stamping show i decided to have a go at a match box advent calendar for my son and his girlfriends first Christmas in their new home. My daughter has now decided she wants one too but this will be work of the unpaid variety i feel. I hope you like my creation happy crafting and please follow my blog xx

Craft shed (she needs a name)

Its finally underway! Building has well and truly started on my new craft shed. We are looking at having a completed shed in about 3 weeks according to the guy building it. Cant wait its a slow process as its being built by my neighbour who is doing it at weekends as he works during the week.  The log burner has arrived so thats ready to go in too. Alot of the supplies have come from second hand selling sites the insulation for example was free and the windows and doors second hand but its still not a cheap option. She is going to be painted forget me knot blue when shes complete. Just need to name her now any ideas please comment below and thanks for looking x

Harry Potter zentangle wall art

Hi this is the first time I have blogged using an app on my phone so not sure how it will go. I wanted to make something special for my son who is a big hp fan. For his birthday I bought him tickets for the harry potter experience in London but wanted something to give him on his birthday.  He is just moving into a new home as well so would be a handy bit of home decor for him. I got a  the book from a car boot for 20p if I had  cut up his copy I think I would have been in trouble lol. I arranged the pages the way I liked them then inked edges drew the owl and florushes and got started on the zentangle.  I finished it off by putting it in a frame. He loves it and cant wait to move in and put it on his wall.

cat card

Hi all

Not blogged a card for a while so thought i would give it a go lol. This is the card i made for my sister she loves cats and i thought this was a lovely image from one of Joanna Sheens cdroms. Its a free standing easel card but still folds flat into an envelope. I used a matching backing paper mattered and layered with black card to make the image pop. I have used a small amount of glitter glue to highlight some of the flowers on the backing paper. The cut out area on top of the card blank was also backed using the matching backing paper. The bow is made of paper also and was cut out using a template from a crafters companion cdrom. I stamped the happy birthday and sister greeting using versa fine black ink and added some pretty fibres and a brad for embellishments. Hope you like it if you do don't forget to check out my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/KittykazzCrafts thanks for looking

cat lovers home decor

Hi everyone

This is a design I made for a cat lover this picture is for sale for the price of £8. The frame is good quality deep frame to keep the art work away from the glass along the side of the pictures written on to the backing paper is a poem about owning a cat called Because I'm only Human.  A small part of the poem reads as "oh let me not forget that chairs were put on earth to shred, and what i like to call a lap is actually a cat bed" . Hope you like it i can make similar items please just ask and feel free to follow my blog or check out my facebook page the address is printed along the bottom of the photo.  xx (i will post more photos on my facebook page as soon as possible as at the minute facebook seems to be acting up and wont let me upload any directly to my page grrrrr)

love is in the air

Hi guys,

Made this picture using my silhouette portrait cutting machine and placed it in a good quality frame I am really pleased with the results. I am planning to sell these for £7 each which is a bargain compared to the prices in the shops for similar stuff!  It comes in any colour background and any words you would like, great for wedding presents as you could have the couples name date of wedding extra and also for new babies as you could have babies name weight and date of birth. Diamonties can also be added for a bit of bling if required.  Hope you like it if you want to see more frames/cards please have a look on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/KittykazzCrafts don't forget to like my page and follow my blog for more handcrafted goodies xxxx

stamped copics oriental card

Hi sorry i have been missing since before Christmas but i have had a knee op and then been suffering with vitamin d deficiency which left me shattered all the time so been through the wars a bit but on the mend now lol.  I stamped this card using a Lilly of the valley stamp and then coloured her with copics. I used my silhouette to cut the the numbers and the black shape i mattered and layered my stamped image onto. The backing papers are Teresa Colin's ones i love the colours of these.
As you can see i have been getting to grips with watermarking my images as i have been posting lots of my stuff on c&c website so thought i should mark it as mine in some way. I want to try to do more home decor this year so if you fancy some more inspiration why not have a look on my facebook page the address is  on the bottom of the photo. Happy crafting xxxx
